Confirm the Construction Before Production
Pilevanta coordinates carpet tile supply for importers, distributors, contractors and private label buyers. The manufacturing route depends on the selected series, face construction and backing. An existing construction and a newly developed OEM specification may require different preparation.
Before production is confirmed, the order should identify fiber, pile construction, color, dimensions, backing, quantity per design and packing requirements. Sample approval should reference these details, including any accepted differences from the original brief.
Our OEM carpet tile order process explains how specifications, samples and commercial terms are brought together.
Prepare Yarn and Primary Backing
Yarn preparation starts with confirming the material and color reference for the selected construction. Physical samples help communicate shade, texture and yarn appearance more reliably than screen images.
The primary backing supports pile formation in tufted constructions. Its suitability needs to be considered with the yarn and subsequent backing process. Material identification and lot information help maintain a connection between the production materials and the approved specification.
Color preparation varies by series; a separate yarn-dyeing stage is not part of every order.
Form the Carpet Surface
For tufted carpet tiles, yarn is inserted through the primary backing to form the specified pile. Loop pile, cut pile and patterned surfaces require construction-specific review.
Production references should cover more than pile height. Yarn characteristics, surface density, texture and pattern direction also affect the finished appearance. A change to one detail may require another sample before the construction is released.
Apply the Selected Backing
The backing process connects the face material with the finished tile structure. Depending on the series, this may involve coating, lamination and the necessary setting or conditioning stages before cutting.
Backing selection affects total thickness, tile weight, handling and packaging. A requested change must therefore be reviewed against the complete construction.
The backing coating and lamination page covers the production details that need confirmation when comparing backing options.
Cut Tiles and Review Alignment
Prepared material is cut to the agreed tile dimensions and shape. Nominal size, dimensional tolerances and installation direction should be recorded before bulk conversion.
Checks focus on dimensions, squareness, edge condition and neighboring tile alignment. Directional designs also need a layout reference. Buyers should establish whether the pattern is intended to align across tiles or create a varied installation effect.
Cut edges should be reviewed for visible damage or loose material before packing.
Inspect and Prepare for Shipment
Finished products are compared with the approved sample and written specification. Relevant checks include shade, pile appearance, dimensions, backing condition and edge finish. Inspection scope and any third-party attendance should be arranged in advance.
Tiles are packed flat according to the confirmed carton arrangement. Model, color, batch identification, tile count and coverage should correspond with the packing information. Our packaging and export preparation page explains this final stage.
What We Need for a Quote
Send a reference sample or image, intended application, dimensions, preferred fiber, pile and backing requirements, colors and quantity per design. Include sample needs, logo or label artwork, packaging requirements, destination and shipping term.
We review the proposed construction before confirming MOQ, sample arrangements and bulk production lead time. Any specification change after approval needs a revised feasibility and schedule review.
